Pretty In Pink Eyeshadow Tutorial (Naked 3 Inspired)

The other day I decided to do a Pretty in Pink inspired makeup tutorial, which I have done previously on my blog which you can find here. The post contains a Step by Step pictorial on how to achieve this makeup look, but I decided to also film it for you all and how I pulled the whole look together.

Now that it is Summertime I have been loving rose gold eyeshadows, so I come up with an everyday full face makeup tutorial on how to achieve a fresh summery look. For eyeshadows I decided to stick to one palette which is my beloved Sleek Storm palette which is great for everyday eyeshadow. This palette only costs around £8 at your local Superdrug and Boots and is well worth the money! All of the colours are pigmented and very easy to blend. If you would like to see swatches and a in-depth full review of the palette, you can find that here.

Makeup Academy (MUA) Undress Your Skin Highlighter - Review + Swatches

One of my all time favourite highlights that I have tried is the MUA Undress Your Skin Highlighter. This highlighter costs £3 and can be found at your local Superdrug. If you do not have a Superdrug near you, you can order this on the Superdrug website or the MUA website.

As many of you probably know I am a huge fan of drugstore makeup, especially when you can get great quality products for super cheap! Makeup Academy is a very inexpensive drugstore brand that is exclusively sold at Superdrug. Most of the products cost between £1-4 and many of the products are very high quality. One of my favourites from the line is the MUA Undress Your Skin Highlighter. I personally love a shimmery champagne highlight and the MUA highlighter is exactly that!

The first thing you notice about the highlighter is how much product you actually get. Compared to the £1 blushes you get almost double the actual product in the container. Since you only need the smallest bit of product this product will last you ages before you need to repurchase it. The highlighter is a champagne shade that glistens with a pink sheen in the direct sunlight. I would highly suggest keeping this highlighter limited to your cheeks and would not suggest using this down the bridge of your nose, inner forehead, or above your lip bow as the pink sheen may look a little strange.

One great way to wear this highlighter is using it lightly over the top of a matte blush. This would give a little shimmer and a nice glow to the cheeks. To do this I would highly suggest using a Stippling brush so that you do not grab too much of the powder. To highlight above my cheekbone I like to use an angled brush to place the product exactly where I want it.

The only downside I have about this highlighter is that the packaging is a little cheap. The lid on my product actually fell off so now I need to store it with the lid just sitting on top of the product. This is extremely not good for use in travel but if you placed it in a baggy I think it would be okay. Although the packaging is a little cheap I think it is still a great price for a good highlighter that contains this much product! I can also see the glitter particles being a problem for some people who prefer a more subtle highlight or a 'natural' highlight. If you are a fan of shimmery highlights then this is the perfect product for you!
