Everyday Makeup Tutorial - Quick and Easy (Coastal Scents 88 Warm Palette)

Today I decided to show you my version of a eyeshadow tutorial that is quick and easy to wear on an everyday basis. This would be especially great if you want a natural look to wear to work or school without looking too dramatic. This look can be intensified into a darker smoky natural eye but for the purpose of this blog post I kept it very simple.

For this eyeshadow look I used my Coastal Scents 88 Warm Palette which is very affordable (around $20 but can always be found on sales) and comes with 88 different eyeshadows around the size of a dime. This palette is great for everyday eyeshadow looks because it is filled with 88 neutral eyeshadows that you can play around with. If you do not have this exact palette just use similar colours that you have within your makeup collection!

Colours Used in Tutorial Marked by Numbers
Step 1: Apply an eyeshadow base to the eyelid and blend upward toward the crease, preferably brown. (I used Maybelline Colour Tattoo on and On Bronze / Bad to the Bronze). This does not need to look perfect as we will be covering this up with eyeshadow.

Step 1
Step 2: Apply a champagne shimmery colour (1 in palette) to the inner half of the eyelid. You can also bring this colour into the inner corner of the eyes to add a brightening effect. This will also make you look more awake and alert.

Step 2
Step 3: Take a light/medium matte brown shade (2 in palette) and blend this into your crease. Make sure that you spend some time blending in this eyeshadow so there are no harsh lines. To blend the eyeshadow take a fluffy brush and go back and forth in the crease in a wind shield wiper motion.

Step 3
Step 4: Apply a slightly darker colour than the champagne colour (a shimmery medium shade of brown)(3 in palette) and apply this to the outer half of your eyelid. Make sure to blend the two colours together, but do not drag this colour further than half way across your eyelid. If the colours are not blending or you are finding this colour to go too close in the inner lid, take the champagne colour that we used in Step 1 again and reapply/blend it outwards toward the outer half of your eye until the colours are blended.

Step 4
Step 5: Apply a matte dark brown (4 in palette) into the outer v of your eye. To do this place the eyeshadow directly on the outermost part of the eye and blend this slowly into the eyelid and crease. You do not want to blend this colour super far onto either the lid or the crease but remove any harsh lines. This will deepen up the eyeshadow look just a slight bit and make it stand out a little more, although it is not too much for everyday wear!

Step 5
Step 6: (Optional) Apply a matte brown shade (The one we used in Step 3 or darker if you prefer) under the lower lash line. Make sure you push this colour very close to your lashes and blend it downwards, but not too far.

Step 7: Apply a matte white (5 in palette) to your brow bone, and a shimmery white (6 in palette) to the inner corner of your eyes.

Step 7
Step 7
Step 8: Apply an eyeliner to your top lash line (I used Makeup Academy Intense Color Eyeliner in Jet Black) and set it with a matte black powder. Curl your lashes and apply mascara!

Step 8
Step 9: (Optional) Apply eyeliner to your waterline, tight line your upper lashes, and apply fake lashes! These steps are completely optional but would definitely work with this look! (I did apply eyeliner in my waterline but did not tight line or use false lashes).

Step 9 / Final Product: I like to let my hair air dry so it is a little damp in this picture!
